CAR BOOT SALE

Fund raising – HELP please, we are seeking to recoup some of the funds we are using to subsidise the Easter trip to Theillay AND accumulate funds for the Theillay visit here in 2008:

We have a stall at the May Bank Holiday Car Boot Sale on the Nether Stowey Playing field – one man’s trash may be another man’s treasure so if you have any trash we should like to take it off your hands (portable and no clothing, please). Sue Davison is storing stuff already in her garage. If you are looking for treasure – come and find us on the day. (if you are willing to lend a hand on the day – we should be delighted to hear from you too)

Otherwise - we are planning an event in June, members and their guests of which further details next month.

French Trip

For the record, the coach is leaving Stowey 5 p.m. on Thursday 5 April and back here late on Easter Monday, 9th April. Cost - £90 per adult, £50 per child. If you are interested, go and have a look at the very inviting and professional Twinning Association display in the window of the vacant shop (ex-antiques, ex-bakers) next to Littles’ (with our thanks to the new owner in particular but also Bob Keene who designed the layout, with setting up help from Ann and Bob).

In any case, if any of you - who do not already have particular friends in Theillay - are driving through France over Easter and would be interested in staying for three nights under the Twinning “umbrella” please have a word with one of us on the committee as soon as possible

Car Boot Sale

One man’s trash is another’s treasure! We are going to be taking space once more in May at the Car Boot Sale on Nether Stowey Playing Field and would very much like to increase last year’s profit of £204.65. Sue Davison has kindly offered her garage as temporary storage (I don’t know if Dave knew this before now) so if you have any likely donations, give her a ring on 732601 to fix a dropping off time, or send me an email if you would like us to collect any goodies (but please no clothes or shoes!).
