Nether Stowey Twinning Association was established in 1996 with Theillay in the Loir-et-Cher département of France. The main aims of the Association are to enable a sharing of cultures and to bring people in and around Stowey together for a wide variety of fund-raising social events.
Families with children are a strong element of the association and consequently family activities feature regularly as well as adult events.
Membership is open to all and consists of all ages. You do not need to be able to speak any French nor like cheese.
Annual Twinning Association exchange visits, over a long weekend, are hosted alternately between Stowey and Theillay. It is the high point of the year and many lasting friendships are made and maintained during these visits.
