The Aims of the Association
To promote and foster friendship and understanding between people of Nether Stowey and those of Theillay.To encourage visits by individuals and groups to and from Theillay, particularly by children and young people, and the development of personal contacts, by so doing to broaden the mutual understanding of the cultural educational and commercial activities of the two communities.To organise fund-raising events to foster these aims.History of the Association
Nether Stowey Twinning Association was established in 1996.
It has run exchange visits with the Theillay twinning association each year since then, Stowey visting Theillay one year, and vice versa the next.
Meanwhile we run fundraising events to subsidise the entertainment we provide to the Theillay members when they visit - amply repaid when we visit them!
We are funded from membership subscriptions and fundraising events - we don't receive any subsidy from local authority or government.

Individual subscriptions: 12
Family subscriptions: 39
Total: 51
Of the family subscriptions, 18 included schoolchildren., of which 9 are of primary school age.
There is 1 pre-school member.
